Mini-Haul: NYX Products

Hello Lovelies!

I love Nude/Pink Nude lipsticks, but since
2011 Summer Trends are more on bright/coral-ish colors and since I already have a coral/subtle orangey lipstick, I wanted to try a bright pastel pink. So, I recently bought a NYX round lipstick and megashine lipglosses.

FTC: Products mentioned are purchased with my own money, therefore I am not sponsored, I am not getting paid to do this review and these are my honest opinion.

I bought all of these items from an online store owned by Karen Bien

So, here is my two-cents about these products:

1. NYX Round lipstick- Strawberry Milk (LSS 595): It is said to be a dupe for Viva Glam Gaga but for me it is not. It is lighter and creamy than the Viva Glam Gaga. It is a matte pale pink and I find it hard to wear on its own specially if you have a medium-dark skin tone. This shade is kinda bright on me though (which I really like), but you can apply it with a neutral or nude lipgloss to balance the color and make it more wearable. If you are blessed with fair skin well.. good for you! I suggest to get this color. I do like the detachable display ofthe lipstick at the bottom of the tube it makes it easier for the consumers to see the actual color of the product and swatch it on their hand if they want to. I am loving this bright pink and it is perfect for summer because it is not too bold or blinding.

2. NYX Megashine Lipglosses- Sweet Heart (LG104), Natural (LG122), French Kiss (LG113): Sweet Heart and Natural are both Nude but Sweet Heart has shimmers while French Kiss is a pinky-nude lipgloss with shimmers as well. Sweet Heart and French Kiss are kinda frosty on me but goes with any look, from simple to dramatic. You can wear it on its own. It is creamy, pigmented and gives a shiny gloss but at the same time a subtle sheen. It smells good (kinda grape-ish).. If you have a sensitive nose you may not like the smell of this product but for me, I don't mind.. I can bear with it. It has a wide range of color to choose from and I recommend it as an everyday lipgloss. One thing I don't like about this product is the taste.. It's horrible. That's the downfall of this product for me but other than that it's all good.

OVER ALL...

Pros:
Pigmented
Moisturizing
Creamy and glides easily
Budget friendly
Has a sample at the bottom of the tube
Against animal testing
A lot of colors to choose from

Cons:
Kinda chalky but I don't mind, I could work on that
Not durable enough (or I'm just too clumsy)
Awful taste

So, that is it I hope this was helpful to you and see you on my next blog post.
